Overview Scanning OCR Security Audit Reports GEMS Lite W & E List
GEMS Application
The main GEMS application enables evidence to be stored, categorised, sorted and searched. Entities (persons or objects of interest) can be created and evidence can be easily cross-referenced or linked to these entities. Time-based events can be logged and linked to evidence or entities. A full evidence matrix can be created pulling together the ‘story’ of the case and from that evidence matrix an output in the form of a report or ‘brief of evidence’ can be automatically generated. Briefs can also be exported onto CD ROMS for efficient distribution to key stakeholders.
Features:
- Document structure, types and labels completely configurable
- Entity types configurable
- Data entry field labels and attributes configurable
- Unlimited document types can be listed
- System completely scaleable. Can be run on single PC, LAN or WAN using both thick and thin-client environments
- Ability to import individual or groups of documents into document structure
- Ability to import the entire contents of a seized hard disk and retain its original file and directory structure
- Loading of imported documents can be scheduled for off-peak times when the network traffic is at its lightest
- Can store any type of file which can be stored electronically, including photographs, audio and video files
- Audio and video files can be segmented enabling only the key segments to be included in the brief
- All evidence given a unique identifier, down to the page level, upon scanning or importing into GEMS
- Can perform simple and advanced information searches
- Multiple search criteria can be applied to searches
- The same evidence can be linked to multiple entities
- Point and click cross-referencing or linking
- Flexible evidence matrix structure enables easy repagination, re-labelling and restructure as nature of the investigation or brief of evidence changes
- Workflow features makes creating output or ‘brief of evidence’ simple
- Documentary evidence embedded into output/brief
- Output/brief can be sectioned to enable only relevant sections to be printed
- Multiple brief easily printed
- Creation of output satisfying ‘full disclosure’ legislation made simple
- Output/brief can be exported electronically onto CD ROM for easy distribution
- Entire case can be electronically exported and installed onto a laptop to support investigators travelling to remote locations
